A 600mm diameter chute fabricated from Stainless Steel Grade 304, with 2mm thickness, will be provided to suit the site condition. An additional 2mm thick reinforcement plate will be installed inside the chute offset for added durability.

The chute tube extends from the ground floor roof level to the top roof floor with an external diameter of 600mm, fabricated from Stainless Steel Grade 304 with a thickness of 1.5mm. The chute is provided with a soundproof coating to reduce noise during waste disposal.

Intake throats will be installed on each floor, fabricated using 1.5mm thick Stainless Steel Sheet (Grade 304) and coated with sound-dampening material. The openings of the intake throats will be made to suit the self-closing, bottom-hinged intake doors installed on each floor.

The intake throats and chute tubes will be joined using support rings and angles to provide structural support to the chute tubes at each floor base level. The chute will be supported using 40x40x5 mm MS angle (mild steel), paint-coated for durability and corrosion resistance.

An automatic cleaning system comprising of a powerful flushing spray is located on each floor inside the intake throat of the chute system. This system is electrically activated and operated via a solenoid valve, and is controlled by the main control panel located in the ground floor garbage room.

The system is built with firefighting sprinklers on each floor, which operate at 68°C in case of fire. These are UL Listed Fire Sprinklers with a burst temperature of 68°C.

Each door can be connected to the electrical interlocking system; when a single door is opened on one floor, the doors on the remaining floors will be automatically locked as a safety measure.
This function is controlled through the control panel located in the garbage room.
